The good, the bad, and the ugly
So for the good, I have decided to make a pack saddle! I finally got a good horse to use! Thank you Braymere Custom Saddlery for introducing me to the pounce wheel! LOVE IT! Here are some of the starting pictures of the pack saddle.
And for the bad and the ugly, the blind horse that I helped my friend with that she had rescued had to be suddenly put down yesterday morning. She had a massive colic and twisted her colon, so the only humane thing to do was to put her down. While she was in her glory days, Layla, had 6+ foals and her great grand father was bold ruler (Bold ruler is secretariat's sire). She earned over $20,000 on the track and qualified for the breeder's cup but scratched for unknown reasons. After her racing carrer, she ended up at a pleasure riding farm, where she was cared for, until a few years ago. She was found starving and was a skeleton, so a horse rescue got her and after evaluating a possible clogged tear duct, it was found she had uvitis (The body thinks the eyes are a foreign item and try to kill it off). My friend adopted her anyways. A few weeks later she lost the battle and lost her whole vision. Later on in their story they competed at the Midwest Horse Fair against world reknown Chase Dodd. She won $50. Keep in mind the course was an arena trail course with a bridge, tarp, poles, ect. And she did it on a blind horse! This was in April this year.

Since I don't show emotion in person, I made a tribute to this wonderful mare. She was personable and very sweet! And this horse definitely passed in caring hands and no one wanted her passing any other way. In the arms of her best friend as she went to sleep for the last time.

As I write this post, I am in fact crying. At 3:15, that picture is their last ride

Updates!
So I had my last Dane county fair model horse show on Wednesday and I got another overal grand champion with a trophy! Then I also was my own ferrier since my horse decided to pull a shoe and I had to remove the other shoe.
As you can see, my horse does not make a good ferrier!

Injury and progress
This is my progress so far. I've been busy with getting ready for my last Dane county model horse show. This is my last year in 4H. And of course this morning I hurt my knee. So this is basically saying I will get further on this Arabian set

New project
So as you know I start a lot of projects but don't finish them. This is mostly because I make most of my stuff for myself. And also because I know they will not turn out the way I had hoped. I eventually finish them but not lately.
In better words I am making an Arabian presentation set! I always finish these. The one I am making for myself and will never be for sale. This is specially made for my "begin the beguine" OOAK Peter stone Arabian. It is blue with silver accents and some jewels.
