Parts of the light harness

A- Breast collar and traces
B-Neck Strap- Holds the Breast collar and Traces in place
C- Turn back- attaches from saddle to crupper
D- Breeching- Are the "breaks"
E- Girth- Holds the Saddle in place
F- Hip Strap- Holds the breeching in place
G- Reins
H- Saddle- reins run through the circles, can attach items, has the shaft tugs attached
I- Crupper- keeps the saddle from sliding forward
J- Gag Runners- attaches to the bridle
K- Shaft tugs- holds the shafts in place
L- Side Cheecks- holds the horse's head up. Runs from bit, to gag runners, to the saddle.
M- Breeching strap- attaches to cart to stop the movement

Beggining of the Crouper

So I've been pretty busy with my harness! In fact as I write this I went to town you could say on that harness. You may notice this is not GG Valentine which I was planning to do. In fact when I went to look at the horses she seemed too small for the cart. She just wasn't appeling with my cart. So I went with Yuletide. He looks much better in the cart! As I type this the cart is actually finished! It has breeching, bridle, beaded browband, and more! I'll show pics as soon as it's done drying.

 

Now you may be asking why there are cute bunnies on my model horse blog! My reason is I was fostering these cute little guys. Unfortanitly it lasted less then 24 hours. I had to send them back due to I was having a rather severe asthma attack which I havn't had in 10 years! So now as I recoperate I have two days off from school and actually last week thursday had toe surgery. So a very busy week! These cute little boys are for adaption at the Dane County Humane Socioty in Madison, WI. They are only 7 weeks old. I wish I could have kept them longer but as of two days later my breathing is only at 55%. It should be 90-100%. I'll post pics when I can of the finished cart. Then I will explain how to hitch a single draft harness, and a single pleasure harness.

Been so long!

Now that all my photos are finally uploaded, i have taken a break from the blog. Actually I got addicted to sims 3! lol! I've been lying low and saving my money for the Stone County Fair in may! Super excited! But now since I just had toe surgery yesterday I think I will make a pleasure harness for one of my horses. I'm thinking of my GG Valentine? Not sure yet.
