How to buy a good horse off of ebay

I tend to buy alot from ebay and amazon!  Some people think I'm nuts but they don't think so after I beat them. I have a method to my madness! With amazon it is all luck though. So good luck there!
With ebay I NEVER buy a horse with one photo. Because you can't see both sides. Might be photo quality but I never trust the description until after I look over the pictures over and over again.
I zoom in and then if they pass that I will read the description then look at the pictures one more time. If I have a quiestion I will always email the seller.
Then I will buy the item or place a bid.
This is by no means fool proof though. I also don't buy items where the actual item is not pictured

John Wayne's Duke. Bought off Craigslist. From the year 2007. The box number is 300307. Was only available at Tractor Supply Company. I show him in Halter. He doesn't all ways go to shows. May be up for sale. Still unsure


Kripton Seni II  From 2011- current. The box number is 1472. I show him in Halter. Is for sale for $40 but is on hold. Bought from Toy's and Things at Hilldale mall in Madison, WI


Prince Jester. Box number is 1471. Years 2011- current. I planned on showing him in saddleseat but bought a new horse before I could show him. He is now a halter horse. Maybe trail eventually.

Newsworty. Box number is 712. Years made is 2008-2009. I show him in halter currently. Will be saving for a saddle set to show him in jumping. Bought from a judge at a show


Blue Grass Bandit. I bought from a judge at a show. She is shown in halter and scene. Box number is 585. Years made 2008-2009.

 Irish O' Leary's Diamond. Shows in Sidesaddle. Box number is 1277. Years made is 2009-2012. Bought at Toy's and Things at Hildale Mall in Madison, WI.

My Full herd! Part 1

I will finally post my full herd! Part 1 will be my fun models the ones that are retired or were just ones I like but do not show. Due to not having my dad's camera most of these photos will be from online sources. All horses on Part 1 are breyer horses.


Man O' War. This model was from the years 1969-1997. The box number is 47.  I do not show him due to a lot of scratches. He was a christmas present due to my first horse, Joy, Was related to Man O' war.


Cigar. This model is from the years 1998-2005. The box number is 476. I do not show him due to lots of scratches. I bought him off of craigslist. I got the model due to meeting cigar!


Barbaro First Edition new in box. This model is from October to December 2006. 1307 is his box number. I bought him on consignment at my favorite local hardware store in Sauk City, WI. McFarlane's True Value. I do not show him due to he is new in box and I will not remove him from the box


Ravel. 2011- Currently being made. Box number is 1475. I do not show him as on his side is a signature from Steffen Peters. He is Ravel's trainer and head of the olympic dressage team. I wish the real Ravel a happy retirement! He was retired after the 2012 london olympics. I bought him new at the Midwest Horse Fair and Meet Steffen Peters.


Snow Bound. Limited Edition. 14,000 made. was made in 1996. Box number is 701596. I bought it new in box at the Midwest Horse Fair. Retired due to I only bought it due to it looks like my mare, Bella.


Spirit Kiger Mustang Family. Year 2002. I got this set for christmas in 2002. Has many rubs on the face. The box number is 751103.

I also have a stable mate but I dont show it and don't really care much for them. I was given this stablemate from a youth show

new orders and horses!

So it's been a while and on Saturday I went to a 4H model horse show (one of my last) and got myself 39 ribbions! I won first in profesional costume! with my native american set! I also really liked this OOAK peter stone morgan and a peter stone weanling. I didn't have enough  money but the lady (Who has done orders with me before) asked if I would make her a western show saddle set that I made. (Sorry no picture yet) So I said yes I would charge $125 so We traded for thoes two horses!

This is her saddle in the works. I still have to add a beaded breastplate, a bridle, and some more silver on the gullet. This girth was hand woven by me too!

I also got another order as well for a pessoa system! I said it would be $20  but after this order it will rise to at least $40



Everything looks sloppy due to the in progress stage. This is my 4th day on it! All the strings are hand braided by me and takes at least 1 1/2 hours! This has 3 of them!



These are the long lines that go with the set as well! I also have a card that she asked to go with the set. Some how this weekend I also found time to make myself a new morgan halter!
